Fell Legend Farm

Where Legends are made..... and Dreams Come True!

Our First Fell Pony

Laurelhighland Rose Petal, FP4035

After three long years of waiting, on June 20, 2004, I got the call from Mary Jean Gould-Earley, from Laurel Highland Farm in Pennsylvania, that Lownthwaite Orange Blossom had foaled a solid black filly. The news was so exciting and we started making plans for her arrival to California in 4 months. Her sire, Waverhead Robbie was proud as usual and looked on with regal admiration. Blossom, who is half sister to one of the Queen's fells in England, seemed to flow through Petals veins, and she has kept that royal "Princess" manner ever present. "Princess Petal", as she has come to be called, continues to grow and mature into her own legendary story.

Petal's first year was busy attending local schooling shows and being the ambassador for the breed.

She celebrated her first Birthday with both 2 and 4 legged friends. A good time was had by all.

Petal's second year was filled with may adventures including attending the Western States Horse Expo and showing at her first National Show at Brookside, Elk Grove, CA under a UK Judge. She won Best of Breed and Reserve Supreme Champion, Mountain & Moorland pony.

Petal was started under saddle as a 4 year old and we look forward to her first show under saddle in 2009.
